Braves–Devils Mile
creative direction, script writing
For Braves – Devil’s Mile, I worked alongside my guy Roberto Brundo on creative direction. The film was directed by Ari Dalladaku for the Braves’ new One Mile Race at Teufelsberg in Berlin.
The one-mile run is short but brutal, and our goal was to make viewers feel the raw intensity of Teufelsberg itself. We treated the mountain as the antagonist, capturing the race with a mix of POV shots from action cams for an immersive runner’s view, drones for the steep terrain and race energy, and wild trail-cam-style infrared flashes that gave the film an untamed, hunted edge.
Layered beneath the visuals is a dark, riddle-like voice-over inspired by Iron Maiden’s “Number of the Beast.” The narrator feels all-knowing, timeless, and slightly mocking, pulling viewers into the madness as if the mountain were alive and watching.
We aimed to create a fast, chaotic experience that pulls viewers straight into the race and makes them feel part of its primal tension.
